Bellevue East holds off BHS in girls LAX

BELLEVUE – Emily Hillyer netted four goals and Camille Sullivan had three as Bellevue East held off a surging Bainbridge girls squad to force an 8–8 tie in prep lacrosse action Monday at Interlake High School in Bellevue.

With Bellevue East clinging to a slim 4–3 lead at the half, Bainbridge came charging back with five goals in the second while allowing just four to force the stalemate.

Sallie Marx and Kierra Avill had two goals each to lead the Spartans.

Marx also had one ground ball and three draw controls, while Havill also contributed two ground balls and two draw controls.

Sonia Olson also aided the Spartan effort with one goal, one assist and three ground balls. Teammate Kyra Wortley added one goal, two assists, one ground ball and one draw control, while Paige Brigham contributed with a goal, an assist and two ground balls.

Kelly Coffyn finished with four saves in the net for the Spartans.
