Susu Bareman won three events to lead the Bainbridge gymnastics squad to a 155.40-149.85 win over North Kitsap Jan. 17.
The two squads had their second tough battle against each other in the last few days. In the previous one the Spartans won by just a point.
NK actually had 13 top-six places in the four events while Bainbridge had 12. But Bereman won the vault with an 8.9, balance beam with an 8.8, and floor exercise with a 9.15. She finished second in the parallel bars with a 7.3 while teammate Avery Gray captured first with an 8.3.
In addition, Bereman led the all-around scoring with 34.15 in the four events combined. NK’s Jordyn Lovett finished second all-around with 32.85. Gray captured third with 32.85, Grace Reeb fourth with a 30.7 and Elizabeth Oliffe fifth with 29.85.
NK scored the most points in the vault, defeating Bainbridge 41.9-40.2. Viking Allison Lovett finished second with 8.5, Lovett and Alivia Palmer tied for third with 8.4, while Arabelle Miller and Gray tied for fourth with 8.3.
