BHS boys break even in Metro postseason tourney

SEATTLE – The Bainbridge High varsity boys basketball team claimed a win in their initial outing of the postseason Tuesday, Feb. 7, 71-64 against Bishop Blanchet to advance to Round Two of the Metro League bracket.

But, the very next day, against Cleveland High, the Spartans were bested 85-60, bringing their season to an end.

It had been a rocky road from the start, with the Spartans struggling to find their groove all season. The boys from Bainbridge thus finished the year with an overall record of 4-18 (1-14 in conference) and ranked in last place in the Metro standings.

Nathan Hale remained the team to beat in the first phases of the league tourney, still undefeated with a 22-0 overall record.
