BHS duffers lose on the road

The Bainbridge High boys varsity golf team earned their first loss of the season on the road Friday, Oct. 2 against Lakeside; the final score was 131-119.

But the Spartans came close.

The Bainbridge High boys varsity golf team earned their first loss of the season on the road Friday, Oct. 2 against Lakeside; the final score was 131-119.

Thomas Crowley and Colin Campbell were the best Bainbridge players of the day, each earning 24 points and a score of 39 on the par 36 course.

Tad Grindeland managed 22 points, David Wellbrock had 17 and both Brooks Lierle and Andy Becker finished the day with 16.

The Spartans’ 5-1 conference record earned them the third-place spot in the Metro standings, behind Bishop Blanchet (first) and Roosevelt (second).
