BAINBRIDGE – The Raiders left the Rock empty handed.
Bainbridge bested Nathan Hale in both boys and girls varsity tennis last week, with the boys team winning 3-2 and the girls victorious at 3-2, as well.
Though the weather was spotty — a mix of sun and clouds for the Spartans’ last tennis meets before the holiday break — the Spartan effort was not.
Head Varsity Tennis Coach Jennifer Anne Shorr said the highlights on the girls’ side included Bainbridge’s doubles play, plus Madison Culp, who again won in No. 2 singles.
Wins on the boys side included Oscar Bray and partner Liam Welch at No. 2 doubles and a win from Elliot Weyland and freshman Sean Westerhout at No. 3 doubles with a straight-set win.
The boys No. 1 double team of Ryan Wilson and John Tappan also put in a solid and decisive win as the Spartan doubles dominated against the Raiders.
