SEATTLE – The Spartans followed up their first win of the year with a second the very next day, Friday, Dec. 30, against Renton at Bellevue College.

The final score was 73-65 in the non-league contest, the second win for the Bainbridge High varsity boys basketball team in two days.

The consecutive victories earned for the island team an overall season record of 2-8 (0-5 in league). They are currently in the bottom spot of the Metro standings.

Garfield High boasts the No. 1 position with a flawless 6-0 conference record.

The Spartans will play at home again at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17 against Rainier Beach.
