Crown Royal claims the crown

Crown Royal capped off a nearly perfect regular season and went 2-0 in the playoffs to win the 2016 Bainbridge Metro Park & Rec District Softball Championship.

BAINBRIDGE – Crown Royal capped off a nearly perfect regular season and went 2-0 in the playoffs to win the 2016 Bainbridge Metro Park & Rec District Softball Championship.

The big win didn’t come easy, however.

Crown Royal defeated Slainte 13-12 in the championship game on July 27 in extra innings (and just before it got too dark to play anymore).

The team finished the regular season with a 13-2 record.

The Crown Royal championship team includes Tyler George, Jerry Marquez, Daniel Rapada, Jimmy Boure, Aaron Lawrence, Chris Miller, Luis Serrato, Andrew Joe, Chris Sullivan, Tanner Cheyney, Jeff Purser, Nick Wood, Johnny Chiquiti, Michael Bellinger, Chad Reynolds, Kauika Peleti, Tino Peleti, Chad Kakela, Pete Corpuz, Mike Matayag and Gene Tabafunda.
