Early finish for BHS against Ballard

BAINBRIDGE – The Spartans recorded its fifth run-rule victory of the season in girls varsity softball with a 19-0 win over Ballard on a sunny afternoon on the Spartan Fastpitch Field Monday.

Sara Colley threw a three-inning perfect game against the Beavers, striking out three. Malia Peato led the offense with a home run, triple and four runs batted in.

Bainbridge put the game away early, with seven runs in the first inning.

Kensey Baker went 2-for-2 for the Spartans, with four RBIs, two runs and two stolen bases.

Maddie Loverich was 2-for-3, with a double, two RBIs and two runs. Peato finished 3-for-3, and added two runs to her homer, triple and four RBIs. Abby Sullivan was 2-for-3, with an RBI and three runs; while Natalie Gillatt was 2-for-2, with a double, two RBIs and a run.

The win pushed Bainbridge’s overall record to 9-3 (7-3 Metro League).
