Eight members of the Bainbridge Island Ropeskippers were selected to a team of more than 100 jumpers to represent “Team USA” at the 2010 Rope Skipping World Championships and World Youth Tournament, in London, July 28-Aug. 4.
Kelsey Gonwick, Chloe Dolese, Abigail Harrison, Molly Harrison, Jessica Fay, Sarah Sharman, Amanda Stevenson; and Emily Applewhite were selected.
The Ropeskippers recently returned from the 2010 Nationals USA Jump Rope competition, in Galveston, Texas, where 920 top jumpers from nearly every state competed. Bainbridge Island returned with gold, silver, and bronze medals. The team finished second in freestyle for teams bringing 20 or fewer jumpers.
