The Bainbridge Island Golden Eagles Special Olympics program sent athletes to the Special Olympics Washington southwest regional competition on Saturday, April 29.

The competition was intense and the day filled with fun for all. Many medals and ribbons were awarded to the outstanding athletes from Bainbridge Island (part of the Special Olympics Washington Olympic Peninsula Area).

The coaches gave big congratulations to all the Golden Eagle athletes on a job very well done, and the team and families extended a very special thanks to Head Coach Michele Shields as well as a special congratulations to Jennifer Mullis, who has been invited to compete at the Special Olympics Spring Games statewide athletics competition.
