Several basketball players in Kitsap County found their names on the all-league squads.
North Kitsap’s Cade Orness won the Olympic League MVP and Defensive Player of the Year. Orness averaged over 20 points per game, became the all-time leading scorer and assists in school history and led the Vikings to the WIAA State Championships.
Vikings Harry Davies and Jordan Williams also earned first-team honors. The first team included Bremerton’s Jalen Davis and Bainbridge’s Sam Nylund. North Kitsap’s Mason Chmielewski and Bainbridge’s Kaden Thielman were on the second team.
Central Kitsap had two boys make the 3A SSC all-league. Aidan Moore earned second-team honors while Maxwell Foster was an honorable mention.
Klahowya will not receive their Nisqually all-league honors until the state tournament is completed. South Kitsap had no boys earn all-league honors in the 4A SPSL conference.
On the girls side, Sequim’s Jolene Vaara earned her second Olympic League MVP and Defensive Player of the Year award.
Bainbridge’s Bella Ramirez, Kingston’s Khi Tall Bull and North Kitsap’s Avery Kline made first-team all-league. Spartan Sierra Berry and Viking Teegan DeVries were second-team all-league.
Central Kitsap’s Abi Lundbland earned second-team all-league and Sam Schaeffer was an honorable mention. South Kitsap’s Grace Degarimore, Kamdyn Hagerty and Kyla Hoisington were all-league selections too.
