Sequim 33, Kingston 20

The Bucs opened the game with a successful onside kick and scored on their first possession, but Sequim eventually got hot and opened up a big league. Kingston played tough and fought back, but fell at home. Sam Reber scored on a 6-yard run on that opening play and later scored a 20-yard rushing touchdown. Aaron Fitsemons made some big plays both as a runner and a receiver, including a 47-yard reception from Dakota Standley. Kingston finishes up the regular season next week.

Bremerton 61, North Mason 13

Jayden Quenga hit the end zone four times for the Knights in Friday’s rout of North Mason. Quenga rushed 14 times for 126 yards and led a ground game that picked up 288 yards. Joshua Tapangco connected with Junior Newman through the air on touchdowns of 43 and 38 yards. D’Angelo Moore added 77 rushing yards and Roman Sorensen had six carries for 39 yards. Bremerton can clinch third place in the Olympic League on Friday.

Puyallup 49, South Kitsap 6

The Vikings held court at home against South Kitsap, scoring the first 35 points before Jorden Lee was able to find the end zone on a 2-yard touchdown run. The Wolves finish up next week with Graham-Kapowsin, a 4A state title contender.

Olympic 41, Port Angeles 29

Joshua Gauyan had a big night for the Trojans, rushing for 152 yards and three touchdowns and adding a 33-yard interception return for a score as his team beat Port Angeles on the road. Alvin Fanua and Kamano Ruis also scored for Olympic. The Roughriders got the opening score, but Olympic scored 41 consecutive points and Gauyan did much of his damage in the second quarter. His 20-yard scoring run gave the Trojans a 14-7 lead, and he followed with a 14-yard touchdown run and the interception return.

Central Kitsap 61, North Thurston 7

Kouper Hall rushed for over 300 yards and four touchdowns and passed the 1,000-yard barrier in a huge win over North Thurston. Kalai Pasi scored rushing touchdowns of 38, 30 and 50 on consecutive drives on his way to a 125-yard game and Jason Bryant added a rushing score as well. The Central Kitsap defense limited North Thurston to 53 yards from scrimmage. It’s unclear how the South Sound Conference will handle dishing out the seeds to districts, but Central Kitsap has at least a fair chance to make the playoffs.
