SEATTLE – The Bainbridge High varsity wrestling team suffered a 70-12 setback Thursday, Jan. 26 on the road against Rainier Beach.
The host school claimed eight forfeit defeats, Bainbridge none.
At the end of the night, BHS could boast only two victories: in the 132-pound match, when Oleg Maguire pinned Mohammed Abdullaji in 1:31; and in the 152-pound bout, when Nate Michaels pinned Tyler Reyes in 1:27.
Bainbridge’s Rachel Longridge was pinned in 1:59 by Eleazar Bacus in the 113-pound contest.
A 15-3 major decision by Mike Bethea over Clayton Marsh claimed the 138-pound slot for the Vikings, as well.
Finallly, BHS’ Mac Schelbert was pinned in 56 seconds by Zach Jones in the 182-pound fight.
