Seattle Prep outlasted Bainbridge in the final of the Metro League Volleyball Tournament to take the Metro championship title in five games Saturday night.
The Panthers won the second, third and final games to win the championship; 29-27, 18-25, 22-25, 25-14, 8-15.
“Unfortunately we didn’t play our best when needed,” said Bainbridge Coach Julie Miller.
The Spartans claimed second place in the tournament.
With the win, Bainbridge will go into the district tournament as the No. 2 seed. The Spartans will play the winner of the Bellevue-Chief Sealth match at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Sammamish.
