This week’s Spartan of the Week is Bainbridge High varsity soccer player Sara Irvin.
The Spartans say:
Sara exemplifies the core values of character, competition, participation and partnership through her commitment to her teammates, her community and her academics. Sara is a humble leader who leads by example, always putting in her best effort in competition. She is committed to her community, and shows that commitment through her volunteer work and mission trips. She also demonstrates a deep care for the environment, which she has put into practice through her research trip she took to South Africa this past summer, her participation in BHS’s Outdoor Adventure Club, as well as her pastimes of hiking and skiing.
Sara is a devoted teammate, a committed student, and a contributing community member. Girls varsity soccer is proud to have her represent the team in the school, community and beyond.
BHS Athletics strives to unite mind and body to create an experience that remains with the student athlete throughout a lifetime. The BHS athletic program focuses on nourishing and supporting student-athletes in areas that extend beyond the classroom experience: character, competition, participation, partnership. Each week, BHS will showcase a Spartan who embodies these values in some way.
