BAINBRIDGE – The Spartans finished with their second tie of the year in girls varsity soccer as Bainbridge hosted Central Kitsap at BHS Memorial Stadium.

The Cougars scored first with a shot from the right side of the box to take a 1-0 lead late in the first half.

But a costly mistake by Central Kitsap evened the contest as the Cougars scored an own goal while trying to clear away a feisty Bainbridge attack on the right side of the CK goal later in the half.

Neither team could gain the advantage offensively through the remainder of the game.

The Spartans began their season with a 0-0 draw against Auburn Riverside.
