KENNEWICK – The sporty Spartan duo of Eli Wagner and Jeremy Lipschutz brought home a top 10 finish from the 2016 3A Tennis State Championship in Kennewick last week.

The pair claimed a seventh-place finish, ultimately rousted by a North Thurston team.

“Our boys had a great state tournament,” said Bainbridge High School Head Coach Jennifer Anne Shorr.

“They brought home a medal and a seventh-place finish. [They] gave it their best in their final match against a very solid North Thurston team that just served and returned a bit more consistently.”

Both players will return for their senior year next season.
