BAINBRIDGE – Battle Point Park lived up to its name as the Bainbridge High boys varsity lacrosse team duked it out with the visitors from North Kitsap High last Thursday for a hard-fought 15-8 non-league win.

BHS led from the get-go, jumping ahead to a 9-4 win by the end of the first half, though NK must be awarded points for consistency: they scored two goals in every single quarter of the game.

Bainbridge’s big first quarter, however, proved too much to surmount.

Spartan goals were scored by Carson Bryan (one), Nate Constan (two), Jack Frickelton (two), Sal Iaria (two), Gavin Jakubik (three), Max Oden (two), Lucas Pedersen (one), Akira Smedley (one) and Devon Turner (one).

Rob Morris and Charlie Shrout split goalie duty throughout the contest.

Morris managed three saves for six shots and Shrout managed one for six.
