Bainbridge boasted top-10 finishers at the Lil’ Norway Invite at North Kitsap High this past weekend.
The Spartan girls were led by Katie Shephard, who won second place in both the 110-meter and 300-meter hurdles, and Serena Canner, who finished second and third in the 100- and 200-meter races, respectively.
Matt Stone sped to third place in the boys varsity 100-meter in 11.92.
David Kimmerlien claimed fifth place in the 400 meter for BHS with a time of 58.71.
Taylor Wilson won second place in the javelin for the Spartans with a throw of 156-09.
The Spartans’ Jack Odell finished fifth in the high jump; he cleared 5-08.00.
In varsity girls action, Canner ran a 29.10 in the 200, a season-best time.
Bailey List finished fourth in the 200 in 29.33.
In the 100, Canner ran to a 13.91. List was sixth with a time of 14.36.
The Spartans also fared will in the distance events.
Mckenzie Bell was second in the 1600 meter with a time of 6:03.27. Fellow Spartan Elizabeth Von Ruden finished fifth in 6:21.16.
Anna Misenti raced to third in the 3200 meter. Misenti finished in 13:11.54.
Eleven schools were represented at the invite, held April 13 in Poulsbo. The Bainbridge boys placed eighth overall, and the Spartan girls finished fifth.
