BAINBRIDGE – Bainbridge gobsmacked Garfield 21-1 in girls varsity lacrosse earlier this week as the Spartans continued this season’s sensational winning streak.

The Spartans have now won seven in a row and remain undefeated.

Eight Spartans scored against the Bulldogs in the lopsided contest.

Mackenzie Chapman and Abby Reibsamen scored four goals each for Bainbridge. Sophia Hagstromer, Kiera Havill and Maggie Sweeney split the pipes for three goals apiece.

Adding to the BHS offense were three more Spartans: Kendall Havill with two goals, and Eleanor King and Madeleine Sherry with one goal each.

Kendall Havill and Sweeney were both outstanding in the field, with Havill adding four groundballs and three draws, and Sweeney with a groundball and five draws.

Thuy Ortiz allowed just one goal and had three saves in the contest for a save percentage of 75 percent across 50 minutes of play.
