The Bainbridge Spartans girls swimming and diving team swamped the competition at the Southwest Washington Invite last weekend.
The team won the Oct. 20 invite with 824.5 points. Camas was second with 437 points, and Union was third with 386.
The Spartans were unbeatable in the 500-yard freestyle, and won the top three spots.
Sarah Grundman was first for Bainbridge with a time of 5:17.22.
Kay Sterner claimed second place in 5:20.80, and Geneva Levy placed third in 5:23.61.
Bainbridge also won first and second in the 200-yard freestyle, the 200-yard individual medley, the 100-yard freestyle and the 400-yard freestyle relay.
Spartan swimmers also took first and third in the 100-yard breaststroke.
In the 200-yard freestyle, Sterner finished first in 2:00.53.
Shayla Archer was second for Bainbridge (2:01.11), and Candice Rosen finished fourth (2:03.78).
Levy also won first in the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:17.25. Grundman was second for Bainbridge with a time of 2:19.14.
In the 100-yard freestyle, Archer took the top spot for Bainbridge in 55.77. Julia Griffiths earned second place with a time of 58.04.
Duni rocketed to a first-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke, winning in 1:10.15. Natalie Ackerley was third in 1:12.74.
The BHS B Relay team of Levy, Ani Duni, Grundman and Sterner won the 200-yard medley relay in 1:58.50.
The Bainbridge A Relay team — Natalya Neihaus, Griffiths, Rosen and Duni — was second in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:46.52.
In the 400-yard freestyle relay, the BHS A Relay team of Grundman, Archer, Sterner and Ackerley was first in 3:48.52.
The BHS B Relay team of Griffiths, Amanda Comeau, Rosen and Levy claimed second place. They finished in 3:52.52.
The Spartans were also two and three in the 50-yard freestyle.
Mikelle Ackerley was second in 26.45, while Duni was third in 26.48.
The Spartans were scheduled to swim again Friday, Oct. 26, at the Metro League qualifying meet.
