BAINBRIDGE – Miller Shor won all-around honors for the Spartans as Bainbridge beat Nathan Hale in girls gymnastics Friday at home.
Shore — who finished second in the bars and fourth in vault — was spectacular during floor exercise and took first with an impressive score of 8.5.
Her first-place all-around score was 30.35.
The Spartans won the meet — with 151.1 points to the Raiders’ 112.8 — for their second victory of the young season and their first in Metro League competition.
Bainbridge was nearly unbeatable in the vault and uneven parallel bars.
Juliana Hinkley placed first for Bainbridge in the vault with a score of 8.15.
Fellow Spartan Emma Chee was second (8.1); teammate Willa Jones-Irwin placed third (7.850), and Shor was fourth (7.650). Sarah Collins placed sixth for Bainbridge (7.550).
On the bars, Spartan senior Sarah Rice was first with a score of 7.5.
Shor was second with a 6.9, while Chee claimed third (6.7) and Key Pearson was fourth (6.1) for Bainbridge.
Hinkley came in fifth for the Spartans (6.0).
On beam, Rice again placed first with a score of 9.2.
Alathea Pippenger tied for second with an 8.5 against Nathan Hale’s Rocky O’Neal.
Fourth place went to Hinkley (7.6), fifth to Shor (7.3), and sixth to Willa Jones-Irwin (7.2) of BHS.
Chee, a Bainbridge freshman, placed second in the floor exercise with an 8.2 and was also second in all-around with 30.
Pippenger tied for third (7.5) with fellow Spartan Pearson.
