POULSBO – Nearly 20 track and field team members from Bainbridge High School were on the podium to celebrate top five finishes at the Lil’ Norway Invite in Poulsbo on Saturday.
Nineteen teams participated, and the BHS boys finished second overall; the Spartan girls were fourth.
The stellar Spartans were:
Ellen York (100-meters, long jump); Kenzie Korican (400m, 4×400); Anna Scott (800m, 4×400); Natalie Taylor (100 hurdles); Liz Messinger (300 hurdles, 4×400); Audrey Weaver (4×400); the girls distance medley team of Naomi Von Ruden, Jackie McVay, Anna Scott and Julia Brooks; Grace Cisneros (shot put); Maria Flynn (triple jump); Wyatt Longley (400, 4×400); Evan Kimmerlein (400, 4×400); Carlo Rugerrio (800, 4×400); Carter Hall (800, 4×400); Nathan McVay (1600 meters); the boys distance medley team of Nathan McVay, Kyle Hammer, Matthew Carlson and Carter Hall; Joe Tabisola (discus); Bryce Hill-Settelmeyer (javelin); and throwers Bryce Hill-Settelmeyer, Spencer McKoskery, Elliot Weaver and Joe Tabisola.
