3 BHS golfers named
All-Metro
Bainbridge High School golfers Carl Jonson, Kyle Hurt and Anna Bourland have been named to the All-Metro First Team chosen by the league’s coaches.
Jonson, a sophomore, tied for seventh in the District 2 Golf Tournament this past week at Harbour Pointe in Mukilteo after shooting a 2-over-par 74. Hurt shot an 80 at district, good for 18th place.
Bourland, a junior, was the only Bainbridge golfer on the girls’ team, which had three Holy Names Academy golfers — Kristen Tan, and sisters Cassie and Sammie Pless – on it. Bainbridge senior and team captain, Ryan Nottingham, was named to the league’s second team.
Jonson led all Metro League golfers with a 69.9 average score in conference play. Joining Jonson and Hurt on the team were: Jamie Hall and Freddie Nordhoff of Seattle Prep Tyler Kato of O’Dea; and Jed Dalton of Blanchet.
BHS golfers Kyle Leonard, Jack Seidl, Bobby Griffin and Will Wheadon were selected to the second team.

Devils capture 4-3
soccer win
The Bainbridge U10 girls soccer Tasmanian Devils managed a 4-3 victory over Tarquin Van Slyke’s Bainbridge team at Hidden Cove fields Saturday, Nov. 18.
Scoring for the Devils were Hannah Maroni (3) and Kate Mackin. Audrey Clarke (2) and Elianne Van Slyke scored for their team.
Goalies Sydney Marler for the Devils and Carina Lankiatis both made excellent blocks in a very competitive first half. Second half goalies Kaitlyn Arlt for the Devils and (TK — am waiting for ) were also busy. The Devils are coached by Julie Marler.
The Devils will play the northern Kitsap Blue Lightning team today at Hidden Cove.
