Boys basketball
Bainbridge recorded its lowest score of the season with a 39-35 loss to West Seattle Friday.
The Spartans (7-4 in the Metro, 10-5 overall) were out-rebounded for the first time this season, and only had one player – Will DiIorio with 19 points – in double digits.
Tuesday, the Spartans will host Bishop Blanchet (2-12 in the Metro, 2-16 overall) at 7 p.m.
Girls basketball
Rebecca Sharar led the Spartans to a 43-34 victory over West Seattle Friday. Sharar poured in 16 points, 16 rebounds and 2 steals.
The Spartans, trailing by one going into the second half, took the lead with a 16-8 third-quarter run.
Hannah Depew had 12 points and three steals and Micki Johns grabbed seven boards.
Bainbridge (4-7 in the Metro, 6-10 overall) will face Bishop Blanchet (8-6 in the Metro, 10-8 overall) at 7 p.m. Wednesday at home.
Gymnastics
Bainbridge defeated North Kitsap and Kingston in its last regular-season meet Friday.
Bainbridge scored 160.975 to North Kitsap’s 14.45 and Kingston’s 133.55.
Rachel Kaminer, who took first on the beam, placed third all-around with 32.75.
Katie Mathews placed third in the floor routine with a 9.1.
The Spartans head to West Seattle for the Metro League Championship meet Friday. Only one Metro team will advance to the SeaKing District championships.
Swimming
The Spartans lost to Lakeside 100-76 Friday. Bainbridge will compete in the Metro League meet 5 p.m. Friday at Madison pool.
