Cross Country
The girls team qualified for the state championship with a third-place finish at the district meet Thursday afternoon.
The Spartans scored 104 points, behind Lakeside (71) and Seattle Prep (80).
Three Spartans finished in the top 20 of the the 80-runner meet.
The girls team will race at the state championship meet on Nov. 7 at the Sun Willows golf course in Pasco.
The boys team placed 12th at the meet with 334 points.

Soccer
The Spartans advanced to the Metro League tournament semifinals with a 4-0 victory over West Seattle Saturday.
Maddie Ginder scored Bainbridge’s first goal in the fourth minute, and Moelissa Hoshizaki added another score in the eighth minute.
Morgan Moniz scored two more goals in the 30th and 38th minutes.
The Spartans will face Lakeside at 7:00 p.m. Nov. 3 at Seattle Memorial Stadium.
Thursday, the Spartans steamrolled Chief Sealth 9-0 in a Metro tournament play-in.
Morgan Moniz and Christina Crowley both recorded hat tricks, while Hallie Swan added two goals and Anastasia Tschida scored on a penalty kick.
Volleyball
The Spartans defeated Cleveland 25-12, 25-20, 25-8, clinching the seventh seed in the district.
Bainbridge will face Holy Names in the first round of the district tournament Thursday at 5:30 at Sammamish. If the Spartans win, they will play Mercer Island at 7:30 p.m.
The Spartans lost to Eastside Catholic in the first round of the Metro playoffs 14-25, 25-15, 25-16, 13-25, 6-15 Thursday.
In the preliminary round of the tournament, the Spartans defeated Franklin 25-13, 25-16, 25-13.
