The week in Spartan sports begins with the Bainbridge girls water polo team trekking to Puyallup for the team’s first game of the season.

The non-league varsity matchup starts at 3:30 p.m. Monday, March 16 at Puyallup Pool.

The Spartan varsity boys baseball team is on the road Monday, as well, for a game against Port Angeles at Civic Stadium. The first pitch is at 4 p.m.

Also Monday, the BHS junior varsity boys baseball team travels to Port Angeles for a 4 p.m. game at Volunteer Field.

On Tuesday, March 17, the Spartan tennis team begins its season by welcoming Bishop Blanchet to Bainbridge High. The varsity match is at 3:30 p.m. The JV team will play Blanchet at Lower Woodland Tennis Courts in Seattle, also at 3:30 p.m.

The Spartans host Seattle Prep for a varsity boys soccer game at Memorial Stadium. The game is at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Following the soccer game, the Bainbridge boys varsity lacrosse team will take to the field for a matchup against Seattle Prep. The game gets underway at 6:45 p.m.

The boys JV soccer team also battles Seattle Prep Tuesday, with a 3:30 p.m. game at Magnuson Park, Field 7.

The Spartans girls water polo team travels to Tacoma for a contest against Lakes at Lakes High. The match starts at 7 p.m.

On Wednesday, March 18, the Spartan boys baseball team hosts Port Angeles for a varsity game at 4 p.m. at BHS. A JV matchup is tentatively planned 4 p.m. at Battle Point Park.

The Spartans will play Mercer Island in girls varsity lacrosse at home at Bainbridge Memorial Stadium. Game time is 6 p.m. Wednesday.

On Thursday, March 19, the tennis team plays host to Holy Names Academy at BHS. The match starts at 3:30 p.m.

The JV tennis team plays at 3:30 p.m. against Holy Names/O’Dea at Volunteer Park in Seattle.

The Spartans welcome O’Dea to the Rock for a varsity boys soccer game, 6 p.m. at BHS.

The JV and C boys soccer teams are on the road; the C team faces Ballard at Ballard, and the JV team plays O’Dea at Georgetown Playfield. Both games start at 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

On Friday, March 20, the Spartan varsity boys baseball team plays O’Dea on the road. The first pitch is at 3:30 p.m. at Judkins Park in Seattle.

The Spartans girls varsity softball team will open the fastpitch season Friday on the road against Newport High in Bellevue. The first pitch is at 4 p.m.

The BHS girls water polo team welcomes Inglemoor to the Bainbridge Aquatic Center for a match at 3:50 p.m. Friday.

The JV boys baseball team hosts O’Dea at BHS for a 4 p.m. game Friday, and the Bainbridge boys C soccer team is also at home for a match against Sequim at 4 p.m.

The girls varsity lacrosse team heads to Sammamish for a 6 p.m. meeting against Issaquah at Skyline Community Fields.

The boys varsity lacrosse team is also away Friday, for a 7 p.m. contest against Seattle Academy at Genesse Park in Seattle.

The week in Spartan sports wraps up Saturday, March 21 with a varsity crew scrimmage against Lakeside in Eagle Harbor.

The Bainbridge boys C baseball team also plays Bremerton in Bremerton at noon, with a second game following at 2 p.m.
