A fantastic flurry of games are scheduled this week for the Spartans as the winter sports season heads our way like an avalanche.
Starting the week, the Bainbridge girls basketball teams head to Bremerton to battle Olympic High.
The junior varsity girls will play at 5:15 p.m. Dec. 4, followed by the varsity girls at 7 p.m.
On Tuesday, Dec. 5, the Bainbridge boys visit Garfield. C Team action gets underway in Seattle at 4 p.m., followed by the JV crew at 5:45 and the varsity at 7.
On Wednesday, Dec. 6 the Bainbridge Spartans host the Bulldogs in basketball as the BHS girls play their opening home games of the season. Game time for the JV team against Garfield is at 5:45 p.m., followed by the varsity matchup at 7.
On Thursday, Dec. 7, the Bainbridge wrestling team takes to the mat for its home opener. Action starts at 6:30 p.m.
Then, on Friday, Dec. 8, the Bainbridge boys hoops teams return home to play Franklin. The C Team plays at 4 p.m. in the Commodore gym, while Paski Gymnasium opens up for the JV game at 5:30 p.m., followed by the varsity game at 8:30 p.m.
The girls basketball teams are on the road against Franklin, with the JV game tipping off at 4 p.m. in Seattle, followed by the varsity team at 7.
The Spartans boys swim and dive team will race against Eastside Catholic on Friday, with the meet starting at 4 p.m.
Also Friday, the Spartan gymnastics team has its home opener at BHS. The meet starts at 6 p.m.
And on Saturday, Dec. 9, the Spartan boys C Team hits the road to Bremerton to face Olympic. There is a 4:15 p.m. tipoff planned.
Spartan wrestlers are also on the road Saturday, at the Larry Brown Invite at Fife High. The tourney starts at 8 a.m.
And finally, the BHS girls basketball teams head west to Sequim for non-league contests. The JV game is at 5:15, with the varsity game at 7 p.m.
