Even after returning home triumphantly with the their most recent Metro League title win (their fourth in nine years, second in just three) accolades continue to amass for the Bainbridge High varsity girls golf team.
This week, three of the stellar Spartans were named to the the 2018 Metro Girls Second Team All-League: senior co-captain Lucy Hanacek, junior co-captain Kendall Havill, and freshman Grace Frei.
Players from West Seattle, Seattle Prep and Garfield rounded out the roster, with West Seattle’s Lauryn Nguyen being named Girls Player of the Year.
The rest of the players on title-winning team were Hayden Jobes, Madison Culp, Anna Kozlosky, Makena Miller, Lindsay Payne and Catherine Rolfes.
No Bainbridge boys made the All-League teams this year. The team finished the Metro Tournament in sixth place overall (668 points).
The BHS girls won their fourth Metro title with a final tournament score of 720, just points better than second place Holy Names Academy (725).
Lakeside (726) was third, Seattle Prep (754) fourth, West Seattle (785) fifth, Roosevelt (822) sixth, Ballard (890) seventh and Ingraham (980) eighth.
